The pink colored lake is home to thousands of flamingos and water birds. The salty lake offers a conducive environment for this beautiful birds, this is in addition to the hundreds of migratory species that visit. From the open lake, the wooded forests is home to other herbivores that find comfort in this home. This include the tree climbing lions, buffalo and zebra.
Serengeti is home to the big five, thousands of hoofed mammals, a good number of bird species and wild cats. The lion prides in this park are collared to monitor their movements. Their large number enables a balanced population of wildlife in the park.
Serengeti also the start of the great wildebeest’s migration safari. Listed as one of the eight wonders of the world, the migration attracts thousands of visitors to this East African wildlife destination.

The fertile soils are a result of the volcanic soils from the crater floor.

Tarangire is home to the largest elephant herds in Tanzania. The gentle giants roam across the park and into the disposal areas as afar as Amboseli in Kenya via the old migratory routes. During the dry moths, the Tarangire River offers some relief for the wildlife as they refresh in the waters from the scorching sun. This is also home to the gigantic upside down tree that is often home to the small mammals and rodents. The colorful birdlife in Tarangire can be sighted from a distance. Its proximity to the city makes it a refreshing park to visit away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
