Explore Amboseli National Park
A holiday like no other
Amboseli National Park is a Kenyan premier safari destination. The UNESCO site is a four-hour away drive from Nairobi. The area is famous for huge herds of tucked elephants. Amboseli means the “salty dust” and comes from the Maa language. The panoramic park is identified with two specific things- the breathtaking view of Mt Kilimanjaro and striking herds of elephants. Amboseli is the second sought park in the country after Masai Mara.
Kilimanjaro assembles diverse wildlife due to the good number of water pans.
They get water from the underground streams of the Kilimanjaro as a result of the melting ice.
There is a close to 80 wildlife species that include; impalas, African elephants, buffalo, zebra, lion, Thomson’s gazelle, and wildebeest. Smaller mammal’s species include; the velvet monkey, hyena, yellow baboon, foxes, and jackals.
