The Nairobi national park has been names the only national park within a city in the world. Established in 1956 it’s the oldest national park in Kenya with over 100 mammal species and over 400 bird species. It provides a good start for safari seekers who want to sample the Kenya safari experience. The Park also has spacious designated picnic sites if you want to enjoy the cool breeze and soothing winds away from the city . The park is only 7 kilometers from the city, easily accessible from both the domestic and international airport.
Nairobi national park is home to all the big five except the elephants. It is also a birders paradise both on grassland and the water birds by the dams.

You have Limited accommodation to choose from. These are found within and by the park borders. They varies from tented camps to lodges that offer you splendid views of the park and perfect settings for sunsets within the great city. The Olololo safari lodge is set within a farm within the park. A great place for you to experience a farm to plate organic experience. Children can enjoy assisting in the farm and in the kitchen. Nairobi tented camp gives you a firsthand experience of living in the wild within wildlife. The Emakoko is a small boutique lodge set at the park edge, a perfect set up for your romantic escape.
The park opens at 6am to 6pm in the evening. We encourage Game drives in the morning and evenings when wildlife is most active. You can access the park accessible from several gates. Entry park fees is payable at the gate. It is advisable to have your picnic lunches and water if you want to spend the whole day in the park. A hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and binoculars comes in handy as it can get quite hot. We can also arrange for lunch in the surrounding hotels and restaurants that are just minutes away from the park.
