The beautiful scenery and hilly slopes invite you to this very famous touristic destination in Eastern Africa. Mountain Gorilla trekking safaris in Rwanda are the main and most thriving activity. It is also the best place to see chimpanzees and other primates.  It’s commonly known as the land of a thousand hills. The country has great biodiversity in terms of vegetation and wildlife. The rain forests dominate the western side of the country with cultivated tea farms appearing on the fields below. The Virunga features volcanoes and rainforests which is home to the volcanoes national park. The central plateau, which forms the savannah and marshes is home to the big five at the Akagera national park.
Nyungwe is home to chimpanzees and the golden Monkeys.  A cultural experience in Kigali is a must do. You can also add some time to explore the genocide memorial sites. Activities are varied depending on which park you visit and for how long. Rwanda is accessible by air and road depending on where you are travelling from.
The cultural experience in Rwanda is very rich. Different dances are done at difference occasions, which can be quite colorful and invigorating. Kwita Inzina is the ceremonial naming of the baby Gorillas. This happens yearly at the slopes of the Volcanoes national park.  A visit to the 1994 genocide memorial museums best explains how humanity can fail each other.  Rwanda has remarkably risen from the ashes of the horrible genocide and it now competes with its peers with its various touristic experiences.
