This beautiful park in centrally located between Maasai land and the Great Rift Valley lakes in Tanzania. It is within close proximity to the city. Its neighbors Lake Manyara and further from the Ngorongoro Crater.

During the dry season it also experiences its own small migration as wildlife comes in to the park for water. The months between June to September are the best time to visit. The Tarangire River is the lifeline in this park. The river forms a number of swamps to the south making it a great part to experience the marvel of nature on your Tanzania safari. Birdlife in Tarangire is in plenty and therefore a great site for Tanzania ornithological safaris. There are several accommodations to choose from within the park and outside the park.
