Tsavo East Nation Park is the world theatre of wildlife. It is based in Taita Taveta County, Kenya. Tsavo West NP emerged after the split of Tsavo, which was initially 22,000km2. The park was established in April 1948. The vast herds of red dusted elephants quench thirst at Galana River. Adventure the longest stretch of lava in the universe and the 300KM lengthy Yatta Plateau.

The park is home to massive mammals, Rhinos, dust-red elephants, lions, buffalo, crocodiles, hippos, leopards, waterbucks, abundant birds, gerenuk, and leopards. There is a cross to 500 species in the area. Other wildlife species include dik diks, zebras, waterbucks, hartebeest, warthogs, leopards, giraffes, duikers, giraffes.
Tsavo east is also famous for its birdlife. Bird species spotted in Tsavo east include; ostriches, pied kingfishers, starlings, vulturine guinea, storks, African fin foot, reed warbler, martial eager, black-faced sand grouse, lesser kestrel, corncrakes, and northern brown bull.
A safari in Tsavo east can either be on foot, in a safari car or on horseback.
